Article L621-20-1 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

If, in the course of its duties, the Autorité des marchés financiers becomes aware of a crime or offence, it must immediately notify the public prosecutor and forward to the latter all information, reports and documents relating thereto.

Subject to the provisions of the third paragraph of Article L. 632-16, the public prosecutor may obtain from the AMF disclosure of all information held by the AMF in the performance of its duties, without being bound by any obligation of secrecy.

Si, dans le cadre de ses attributions, l’Autorité des marchés financiers acquiert la connaissance d’un crime ou d’un délit, elle est tenue d’en donner avis sans délai au procureur de la République et de transmettre à ce magistrat tous les renseignements, procès-verbaux et actes qui y sont relatifs.

Sous réserve des dispositions du troisième alinéa de l’article L. 632-16, le procureur de la République peut obtenir de l’Autorité des marchés financiers la communication de tous les renseignements détenus par celle-ci dans le cadre de l’exercice de ses missions, sans que puisse lui être opposée l’obligation au secret.
