Article L621-3 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The provisions of article L. 621-2 when he has entered or stayed on French territory without complying with the stipulations of paragraphs 1 and 2 of article 19, paragraph 1 of article 20, and paragraphs 1 and 2 of article 21, of this convention, relating to the conditions of movement of foreigners on the territories of the contracting parties, or without subscribing, at the time of entry into this territory, the compulsory declaration provided for by article 22 of the same convention, when he was required to fulfil this formality.

Article L621-3

L’étranger en provenance directe du territoire d’un État partie à la convention signée à Schengen le 19 juin 1990 peut se voir appliquer les dispositions de l’article L. 621-2 lorsqu’il est entré ou a séjourné sur le territoire français sans se conformer aux stipulations des paragraphes 1 et 2 de l’article 19, du paragraphe 1 de l’article 20, et des paragraphes 1 et 2 de l’article 21, de cette convention, relatifs aux conditions de circulation des étrangers sur les territoires des parties contractantes, ou sans souscrire, au moment de l’entrée sur ce territoire, la déclaration obligatoire prévue par l’article 22 de la même convention, alors qu’il était astreint à cette formalité.
