Tests, the collection and processing of biological signals for the purposes of screening, diagnostic orientation or immediate therapeutic adaptation do not constitute a medical biology examination.
The health professionals or certain categories of persons listed by a decree of the Minister for Health may carry out the tests, collections and processing of biological signals set by a decree published annually after consulting the committee referred to in Article L. 6213-12 and the Director General of the Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé. The order also lays down, where applicable, the conditions for carrying out these tests, collecting and processing biological signals, as well as the training conditions for healthcare professionals and the categories of persons authorised to carry them out.
In particular, this order defines the conditions under which rapid diagnostic orientation tests, carried out by a health professional or by staff who have received appropriate training and who come under the authority of prevention and association structures or the armed forces health service, contribute to the screening for transmissible infectious diseases.
This decree also specifies the particular conditions under which these tests are carried out and the way in which the person concerned is informed of these conditions and the consequences of the test.
