Article L6222-16 of the French Labour Code

If the apprenticeship contract is followed by the signing of an open-ended employment contract, a fixed-term contract or a temporary employment contract with the same company, no trial period may be imposed, unless otherwise stipulated in the collective bargaining agreement.

The duration of the apprenticeship contract is taken into account when calculating the employee’s pay and seniority.

Si le contrat d’apprentissage est suivi de la signature d’un contrat de travail à durée indéterminée, d’un contrat à durée déterminée ou d’un contrat de travail temporaire dans la même entreprise, aucune période d’essai ne peut être imposée, sauf dispositions conventionnelles contraires.

La durée du contrat d’apprentissage est prise en compte pour le calcul de la rémunération et l’ancienneté du salarié.
