Article L623-29 of the French Intellectual Property Code

The civil actions provided for in this chapter, with the exception of that provided for in Article L. 623-23-1, shall be barred after five years from the date on which the holder of a right knew or should have known of the last fact enabling him to exercise it.

Les actions civiles prévues au présent chapitre, à l’exception de celle prévue à l’article L. 623-23-1, se prescrivent par cinq ans à compter du jour où le titulaire d’un droit a connu ou aurait dû connaître le dernier fait lui permettant de l’exercer.
