Article L7121-16 of the French Labour Code

For an artistic agent holding a live performance contractor’s licence and producing a live performance to receive a commission from all the artists making up the cast of the performance, in breach of the provisions of article L. 7121-12, is punishable, in the event of a repeat offence, by six months’ imprisonment and a fine of €3,750.

Le fait, pour un agent artistique titulaire d’une licence d’entrepreneur de spectacles vivants et produisant un spectacle vivant, de percevoir une commission sur l’ensemble des artistes composant la distribution du spectacle, en méconnaissance des dispositions de l’article L. 7121-12, est puni, en cas de récidive, d’un emprisonnement de six mois et d’une amende de 3 750 euros.
