Article L721-6 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

I. – Cash payments denominated in CFP francs are rounded to the nearest multiple of 5 CFP francs and are made according to the following rounding rules:
1° Amounts ending in 1, 2, 6 and 7 are rounded down to the nearest multiple of 5;
2° Amounts ending in 3, 4, 8 and 9 are rounded up to the nearest multiple of 5.
II. – Coins denominated in CFP francs may not be issued with a face value of less than 5 CFP francs.

I. – Le paiement en numéraire libellé en francs CFP est arrondi au multiple de 5 francs CFP le plus proche et s’effectue selon les règles d’arrondis suivantes :
1° Les sommes finissant par 1, 2, 6 et 7 sont arrondies au multiple de 5 inférieur ;
2° Les sommes finissant par 3, 4, 8 et 9 sont arrondies au multiple de 5 supérieur.
II. – Les pièces libellées en francs CFP ne peuvent être émises pour une valeur nominale inférieure à 5 francs CFP.
