Travel, subsistence and teaching expenses are eligible for reimbursement.
Losses of income suffered by the elected member as a result of exercising his right to training under this section shall be compensated by the local authority up to a limit of eighteen days per elected member for the duration of the term of office and one and a half times the hourly value of the minimum growth wage per hour.
The provisional amount of training expenses under article L. 7227-12 may not be less than 2% of the total amount of the functional allowances that may be allocated to councillors to the assembly and members of the executive council pursuant to articles L. 7227-19 à L. 7227-21. The actual amount of this training expenditure may not exceed 20% of the same amount. Appropriations relating to training expenses that have not been used by the end of the financial year in respect of which they were entered are allocated in full to the budget for the following financial year. They may not be carried forward beyond the year in which the renewal of the deliberative assembly takes place.
A decree in the Council of State sets out the terms and conditions for the application of these provisions.
