Article L733-10 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The order of the liberty and custody judge authorising the visit to the foreign national’s home is enforceable for ninety-six hours on the basis of the minutes alone.
It is notified on the spot to the foreign national in a language he or she understands or, failing that, to the occupant of the premises, who receives a full copy against receipt. The act of notification shall mention any appeal procedures.

L’ordonnance du juge des libertés et de la détention autorisant la visite du domicile de l’étranger est exécutoire pendant quatre-vingt-seize heures au seul vu de la minute.
Elle est notifiée sur place à l’étranger dans une langue qu’il comprend ou, à défaut, à l’occupant des lieux, qui en reçoit copie intégrale contre récépissé. L’acte de notification comporte mention des voies de recours.
