Article L742-1 of the French Commercial code

The conditions for admission to the profession of commercial court clerk are laid down by decree in the Conseil d’Etat.

They include in particular a competitive examination, a traineeship and an interview to validate the traineeship, subject to the exemptions provided for by that decree.

Les conditions d’accès à la profession des greffiers des tribunaux de commerce sont fixées par décret en Conseil d’Etat.

Elles comprennent notamment un concours, un stage et un entretien de validation de stage, sous réserve des dispenses prévues par ce décret.
