Article L743-3 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The provisions of this section shall apply to the judgment of petitions lodged by the foreign national for the purpose of contesting the decision to place him in detention pursuant to article L. 741-10 and by the administrative authority for the purpose of extending detention pursuant to article L. 742-1 or articles L. 742-4 to L. 742-7.
They also apply to the judgment of the request made by the foreign national for release outside the extension hearings, pursuant to article L. 742-8.

Les dispositions de la présente section sont applicables au jugement des requêtes formées par l’étranger aux fins de contestation de la décision de placement en rétention en application de l’article L. 741-10 et par l’autorité administrative aux fins de prolongation de la rétention en application de l’article L. 742-1 ou des articles L. 742-4 à L. 742-7.
Elles s’appliquent également au jugement de la requête formée par l’étranger, aux fins de remise en liberté hors des audiences de prolongation, en application de l’article L. 742-8.
