Article L743-8 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The liberty and custody judge may decide, on a proposal from the administrative authority, that the hearings provided for in this section shall be held with the use of audiovisual telecommunication means guaranteeing the confidentiality of the transmission. A record of the operations carried out shall then be drawn up in each of the two hearing rooms open to the public.

Article L743-8

Le juge des libertés et de la détention peut décider, sur proposition de l’autorité administrative, que les audiences prévues à la présente section se déroulent avec l’utilisation de moyens de télécommunication audiovisuelle garantissant la confidentialité de la transmission. Il est alors dressé, dans chacune des deux salles d’audience ouvertes au public, un procès-verbal des opérations effectuées.
