Article L8123-1 of the French Labour Code

Occupational health inspectors take ongoing action to protect the physical and mental health of workers in the workplace and participate in health monitoring for the benefit of workers. Their action relates in particular to the organisation and operation of the occupational health and prevention services provided for in Title II of Book VI of Part Four.

Medical occupational health inspectors act in liaison with the inspection officers mentioned in article L. 8112-1, with whom they cooperate in the application of occupational health regulations.

Article L8123-1

Les médecins inspecteurs du travail exercent une action permanente en vue de la protection de la santé physique et mentale des travailleurs sur leur lieu de travail et participent à la veille sanitaire au bénéfice des travailleurs. Leur action porte en particulier sur l’organisation et le fonctionnement des services de prévention et de santé au travail prévus au titre II du livre VI de la quatrième partie.

Les médecins inspecteurs du travail agissent en liaison avec les agents de contrôle mentionnés à l’article L. 8112-1, avec lesquels ils coopèrent à l’application de la réglementation relative à la santé au travail.
