Article LO6221-33 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The representative of the State may, within fifteen days of it being forwarded to him, request the Territorial Council, by a reasoned order, to give a new reading to a deliberation.

The representative of the State may request within seven days, Sundays and public holidays not included, a second deliberation of an act of the Executive Council.

In the cases provided for in this article, the act or deliberation shall not become enforceable until it has been finally adopted by the Territorial Council or the Executive Council, as the case may be.

Le représentant de l’Etat peut, dans les quinze jours qui suivent la transmission qui lui en est faite, demander au conseil territorial, par un arrêté motivé, une nouvelle lecture d’une délibération.

Le représentant de l’Etat peut demander dans les sept jours, dimanche et jours fériés non compris, une seconde délibération d’un acte du conseil exécutif.

Dans les cas prévus au présent article, l’acte ou la délibération ne devient exécutoire qu’après son adoption définitive par le conseil territorial ou le conseil exécutif, selon le cas.
