Article R106 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The rates fixed by this title, with regard to the costs of expert appraisals, shall be applied on the basis of the residence of the experts.

The costs of drafting and filing the report and, where applicable, of taking the oath are included in the compensation set by these rates.

No compensation is awarded for the swearing-in of the expert before the Court of Appeal when he is first registered or, where applicable, when he is re-registered after removal or non-registration.

Les tarifs fixés par le présent titre, en ce qui concerne les frais d’expertise, doivent être appliqués en prenant pour base la résidence des experts.

Les frais de rédaction et de dépôt du rapport, ainsi que, le cas échéant, de la prestation de serment sont compris dans les indemnités fixées par ces tarifs.

Aucune indemnité n’est allouée pour la prestation de serment de l’expert devant la cour d’appel lors de sa première inscription ni, le cas échéant, lors d’une nouvelle inscription après radiation ou non-réinscription.
