The National Commission for Medical Accidents assesses the conditions under which expert assessments are carried out by the commissions referred to in article L. 1142-5 and makes recommendations on the conduct of such medical assessments. It also formulates recommendations, based on an examination of the operation of these commissions, an analysis of the opinions they issue and comparisons of the conditions of access for claimants, in order to achieve the objective, defined in article L. 1142-10, of uniform implementation of the system of compensation for the consequences of health risks.
The recommendations are addressed to the commissions referred to in article L. 1142-5, which in particular make available to the experts those relating to the conduct of expert assessments.
These commissions report, in the annual report provided for in article R. 1142-11, on the action they have taken on the recommendations of the national commission.
