Article R121-22 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The Director General of the French Office of Immigration and Integration is responsible for the management and general conduct of the Office and for preparing and implementing the decisions of the Board of Directors. He is the authorising officer for the establishment’s revenue and expenditure. He may take legal action and represent the Office in court and in all civil acts.

Le directeur général de l’Office français de l’immigration et de l’intégration assure la gestion et la conduite générale de l’office, la préparation et l’exécution des délibérations du conseil d’administration. Il est ordonnateur des recettes et des dépenses de l’établissement. Il passe tous actes, contrats ou marchés et conclut les transactions.
Il peut ester en justice et représente l’office en justice ainsi que dans tous les actes de la vie civile.
