Article R1221-22 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

At the end of the training course or session, the organisation issues the elected representative with a certificate specifying the exact nature of the training received. Where the elected representative is an employee, a civil servant governed by Titles I to IV of the General Statute of the Civil Service or a contractual agent of the State, a local authority or their public administrative establishments, he/she will also be issued with a certificate stating that he/she has actually attended the course or session.

A l’issue du stage ou de la session de formation, l’organisme délivre à l’élu un certificat précisant la nature exacte de la formation reçue. Lorsque l’élu est un salarié, un fonctionnaire régi par les titres 1er à IV du statut général de la fonction publique ou un agent contractuel de l’Etat, d’une collectivité territoriale et de leurs établissements publics administratifs, il lui est en outre délivré une attestation constatant sa fréquentation effective du stage ou de la session.
