Where the company has its registered office in one of the Member States of the European Community or parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, the deeds and documents may, at its request, be filed in any official language of the Community. In all cases, one of these languages must be French. Where documents are also filed in another language, their translation into French must be certified by the declarants. Only the mandatory filing in French is authentic. Third parties may, however, rely on the translation voluntarily filed, unless the company proves that they were aware of the version compulsorily filed in French.
