I. – Unless the single European code has already been allocated to tissues or cells from a Member State of the European Union, the single European code is allocated at the latest before the tissues or cells are distributed in France or transferred, for the purposes of grafting or administration, to another Member State of the European Union or party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, by the establishments or bodies authorised by the Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé, pursuant to Article L. 1243-2 and the first and second paragraphs of II of L. 1245-5.
II. – The unique European code is allocated at the latest before the transplant or the administration of tissues or cells by :
1° Health establishments carrying out the activities mentioned in the first paragraph of article L. 1243-6 and which are authorised to import tissues and cells for therapeutic purposes in application of the first paragraph of II of article L. 1245-5 ;
2° The doctors and dental surgeons mentioned in the second paragraph of article L. 1243-6 and who are authorised to import tissues and cells for therapeutic purposes in application of the first paragraph of II of article L. 1245-5.
