Article R1245-36 of the French Public Health Code

Unless the donation identification sequence has already been allocated to tissues or cells from a Member State of the European Union, the donation identification sequence is allocated by the establishments or organisations authorised under Article L. 1243-2, the first and second paragraphs of II of Article L. 1245-5, the first paragraph of II of article L. 1245-5-1, and articles L. 4211-9-1, L. 4211-9-2, L. 5124-3 and L. 5124-9-1 which receive tissues and cells from a health establishment carrying out procurement in France or which import them, when these tissues and cells are used for purposes other than distribution. It is included in the documents accompanying the tissues and cells.

Sauf si la séquence d’identification du don a déjà été attribuée à des tissus ou des cellules provenant d’un Etat membre de l’Union européenne, la séquence d’identification du don est attribuée par les établissements ou organismes autorisés au titre de l’article L. 1243-2, des premier et deuxième alinéas du II de l’article L. 1245-5, du premier alinéa du II de l’article L. 1245-5-1, et des articles L. 4211-9-1, L. 4211-9-2, L. 5124-3 et L. 5124-9-1 qui réceptionnent des tissus et cellules d’un établissement de santé effectuant des prélèvements en France ou qui les importent, lorsque ces tissus et cellules sont utilisés à d’autres fins que la distribution. Elle figure dans les documents qui accompagnent les tissus et cellules.
