Article R1312-14 of the French Public Health Code

Violation of the prohibitions or failure to comply with the obligations laid down in the health and hygiene regulations for residential premises and similar facilities provided for in Section III of Chapter I of Title III of this book, as well as in the orders of the representative of the State in the département or of the mayor, the purpose of which is to lay down special provisions to ensure the protection of public health in the département or commune, issued in application of the first paragraph of article L. 1311-2, are punishable by a fourth-class fine.

Article R1312-14

La violation des interdictions ou le manquement aux obligations édictées par les règles sanitaires d’hygiène et de salubrité des locaux d’habitation et assimilés prévues à la section III du chapitre Ier du titre III du présent livre ainsi que par les arrêtés du représentant de l’Etat dans le département ou du maire, ayant pour objet d’édicter des dispositions particulières en vue d’assurer la protection de la santé publique dans le département ou la commune pris en application du premier alinéa de l’article L. 1311-2, sont punis de l’amende prévue pour les contraventions de la quatrième classe.
