Article R1313-18 of the French Public Health Code

The Director General recruits, appoints and manages the civil servants whose status is governed by decree no. 98-695 of 30 July 1998, amended by decree no. 99-242 of 26 March 1999, relating to the special status of researchers at the French Food Safety Agency. It is consulted and its favourable opinion is required prior to the assignment to the Agency of civil servants called to serve there.

It recruits, appoints and manages contract staff in compliance with the provisions of decree no. 2003-224 of 7 March 2003, as amended, laying down the rules applicable to contract staff under public law recruited by certain public establishments working in the field of public health and health safety.

He has authority over all the establishment’s staff.

Le directeur général recrute, nomme et gère les fonctionnaires dont la situation est régie par le décret n° 98-695 du 30 juillet 1998, modifié par le décret n° 99-242 du 26 mars 1999, relatif au statut particulier des chercheurs de l’Agence française de sécurité sanitaire des aliments. Il est consulté et son avis favorable est requis préalablement à l’affectation à l’agence des fonctionnaires appelés à y servir.


Il recrute, nomme et gère le personnel contractuel dans le respect des dispositions du décret n° 2003-224 du 7 mars 2003 modifié fixant les règles applicables aux personnels contractuels de droit public recrutés par certains établissements publics intervenant dans le domaine de la santé publique et de la sécurité sanitaire.


Il a autorité sur l’ensemble des personnels de l’établissement.
