Article R1322-32 of the French Public Health Code

The treatments or additions to which natural mineral waters may be subjected are those appearing on a list determined by order of the Minister responsible for health and, in the case of packaged water, by order of the Ministers responsible for consumption and health, under the conditions set by 4° of II of article L. 1322-2. The order lays down the technical conditions for the use of treatments or additions and, where applicable, the time periods to be respected between the different types of treatment and addition, as well as the procedure for applying for the use of new types of treatment or addition to natural mineral water.

Les traitements ou adjonctions dont les eaux minérales naturelles peuvent faire l’objet sont ceux figurant sur une liste déterminée par arrêté du ministre chargé de la santé et, s’il s’agit d’une eau conditionnée, par arrêté des ministres chargés de la consommation et de la santé, dans les conditions fixées par le 4° du II de l’article L. 1322-2. L’arrêté fixe les conditions techniques d’utilisation des traitements ou adjonctions et, le cas échéant, les délais à respecter entre les différents types de traitement et d’adjonction ainsi que la procédure de demande d’utilisation de nouveaux types de traitement ou d’adjonction de l’eau minérale naturelle.
