Article R133-34 of the French Tourism Code

The resolution requesting the designation of tourist municipality, together with the application file, is sent by the mayor to the prefect by electronic means or, failing that, by post. If the application is incomplete, the Prefect will notify the applicant within two months, specifying the missing documents.

Article R133-34

La délibération sollicitant la dénomination de commune touristique, accompagnée du dossier de demande, est adressée par le maire au préfet par voie électronique ou, à défaut, par voie postale. Lorsque le dossier est incomplet, le préfet en avise le demandeur dans le délai de deux mois en lui précisant les pièces manquantes.
