Article R1331-77 of the French Public Health Code

This article applies to the maintenance of closed fireplaces, heating appliances and cooking appliances, with the exception of solid fuel boilers, as well as to the sweeping of flues of open and closed fireplaces, heating appliances and cooking appliances, with the exception of solid fuel boilers.

During the operations mentioned in the first paragraph, the professionals responsible for these operations provide the non-professional users concerned with advice on possible improvements to the entire installation, including optimising the efficiency of the appliance via the quality of the fuel used and, where appropriate, on the benefits of replacing the installation in view of its energy efficiency and its impact on air quality.

Le présent article s’applique aux opérations d’entretien des foyers fermés, appareils de chauffage et appareils de cuisine, à l’exception des chaudières, à combustible solide, ainsi qu’aux opérations de ramonage des conduits des foyers ouverts et fermés, des appareils de chauffage et des appareils de cuisine, à l’exception des chaudières, à combustible solide.

Lors des opérations mentionnées au premier alinéa, les professionnels chargés de ces opérations fournissent aux utilisateurs non professionnels concernés des conseils portant notamment sur les améliorations possibles de l’ensemble de l’installation, y compris l’optimisation du rendement de l’appareil via la qualité du combustible utilisé et, le cas échéant, sur l’intérêt du remplacement de l’installation compte tenu de ses rendements énergétiques et de ses impacts sur la qualité de l’air.
