I.-Measurements carried out in the environment or on individuals, either by the person responsible for the nuclear activity or at the request of the public authorities, are carried out by the Institute for Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety or by a service, body or laboratory approved by the Nuclear Safety Authority or accredited under Article R. 4451-65 of the Labour Code. In this case, the service, organisation or laboratory records them and sends them to the Institute for Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety in accordance with the procedures defined by the latter so that they can be centralised in a specific database, in addition to the measurements carried out by the Institute.
In cases covered by 1° of VI of Article L. 1333-9 of this Code and Article L. 1333-15 of the Defence Code, the procedures defined by the Institut de Radioprotection et de Sûreté Nucléaire are approved by the Minister for Defence.

These reports are sent to the ministers responsible for radiation protection and labour after obtaining the opinion of the Nuclear Safety Authority and, in the case covered by article L. 1333-15 of the Defence Code, to the delegate for nuclear safety and radiation protection for defence-related installations and activities.
III – The consequences of the radiological emergency and the effectiveness of the protective measures taken in this situation are assessed by the ministers mentioned in II with regard to the dosimetric assessments mentioned in II and the reference level mentioned in II of Article R. 1333-82.
