Analyses of materials and products likely to contain asbestos are carried out by an accredited body meeting the requirements defined by an order of the Minister for Health. This order specifies in particular the skills of the people responsible for carrying out the analyses and the methods that must be used to verify the presence of asbestos in the material or product.
Accredited bodies are deemed to have fulfilled the obligation to transmit information laid down in article L. 1334-14, when they communicate the results of the analyses they have carried out to the persons carrying out the surveys referred to in article R. 1334-23, who include them in the annual activity report referred to in the same article.
