Article R1413-18 of the French Public Health Code

The Director General is assisted by at least one Deputy Director General who replaces him/her in the event of vacancy, absence or impediment.

When the Agency has one or more pharmaceutical establishments, in application of article L. 1413-4, the pharmacist(s) in charge are members of the Agency’s management.

The Director General may delegate his signature to staff under his authority.

He may delegate some of his powers relating to the Agency’s missions mentioned in 5° and in the eleventh paragraph of article L. 1413-1 to agents appointed to carry out functions of administrative or scientific responsibility. These delegations of authority are published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.

Le directeur général est assisté d’au moins un directeur général adjoint qui le supplée en cas de vacance, d’absence ou d’empêchement.

Lorsque l’agence dispose d’un ou plusieurs établissements pharmaceutiques, en application de l’article L. 1413-4, le ou les pharmaciens responsables sont membres de la direction de l’agence.

Le directeur général peut déléguer sa signature aux personnels placés sous son autorité.

Il peut déléguer une partie de ses pouvoirs relevant des missions de l’agence mentionnées au 5° et au onzième alinéa de l’article L. 1413-1 à des agents désignés pour exercer des fonctions de responsabilité administrative ou scientifique. Ces délégations de pouvoir font l’objet d’une publication au Journal officiel de la République française.
