The Director General of the Regional Health Agency appoints the head of the observatory referred to in Article R. 1413-90, for a renewable term of five years.
The observatory may comprise several units housed in a regional health agency or health institution. The operating procedures of the observatory are the subject of an agreement between the Director General of the Regional Health Agency and the legal representative(s) of the health establishment(s) in which the observatory is housed.
An annual work programme is proposed by the head of the Observatory and approved by the Director General of the Regional Health Agency. The Observatory’s annual activity report is sent to the Minister for Health after validation by the Director General of the Regional Health Agency.
In the case of an inter-regional observatory, the conditions for implementing this article are specified by agreement between the Directors General of the Regional Health Agencies concerned.
