Article R142-15 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

The ballot shall be opened in the places and at the times determined by the committee and brought to the attention of the staff by means of a circular. Voters cast their votes in person. Absentee voters may vote by post by sending their votes directly by post to the chairman of the committee.

These must be postmarked no later than the day set for the election. They must reach the committee no later than the day before the count. To cast their vote, voters must use the forms provided by the Banque de France, failing which the vote will be null and void.

Le scrutin est ouvert dans les lieux et aux heures fixés par la commission et portés par circulaire à la connaissance du personnel. Les électeurs votent personnellement. Les électeurs absents votent par correspondance en envoyant directement leurs suffrages, par voie postale, au président de la commission.

Ces envois doivent être effectués au plus tard le jour fixé pour l’élection, le cachet de la poste faisant foi. Ils doivent parvenir à la commission au plus tard la veille du jour du dépouillement. Pour exprimer leur suffrage, les électeurs doivent, sous peine de nullité du vote, utiliser les imprimés mis à leur disposition par la Banque de France.
