Article R1423-21 of the French Labour Code

The appeals referred to in article R. 1423-19 shall be heard without charge or formality within one month of the date on which they are registered.
The Registrar shall notify the interested parties of the judgment. The Public Prosecutor is informed of the judgment. He informs the Prefect. An objection may not be lodged against a judgment rendered by default.
The judgment may be appealed to the Supreme Court within ten days of its notification. The appeal does not require the assistance of a lawyer.

Les recours mentionnés à l’article R. 1423-19 sont jugés sans frais ni forme dans le délai d’un mois à compter du jour où ils sont enregistrés.
L’arrêt est notifié par le greffier aux intéressés. Le procureur de la République est informé de l’arrêt. Il en informe le préfet. L’opposition n’est pas admise contre l’arrêt rendu par défaut.
L’arrêt est susceptible d’un pourvoi en cassation dans les dix jours de sa notification. Le pourvoi est dispensé du ministère d’avocat.
