The strategic orientation framework sets out the general objectives and expected results over the next ten years for improving the state of health of the population and combating social and territorial inequalities in health, in particular those relating to access to prevention, care and medico-social support.
It includes the priority action areas of the national health strategy defined in article L. 1411-1-1. The objectives and expected results are established in line with its objectives for improving health and social protection against disease, as mentioned in the same article.
These objectives relate in particular to :
1° The organisation of healthcare pathways;
2° Improving the relevance, quality, safety, continuity and efficiency of care and support;
3° The effects on health determinants;
4° Respecting and promoting users’ rights.
The strategic orientation framework is designed to improve coordination with other public policies that have an impact on health.
The strategic orientation framework is revised, after evaluation, at least every ten years.
