Article R1711-1 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

For the application to Mayotte of the provisions of the first part of the present code:

1° The reference to the department, the overseas department, the region or the overseas region is replaced by the reference to the Department of Mayotte;

2° The reference to the regional council and the general councils is replaced by the reference to the departmental council.

Pour l’application à Mayotte des dispositions de la première partie du présent code :

1° La référence au département, au département d’outre-mer, à la région ou à la région d’outre-mer est remplacée par la référence au Département de Mayotte ;

2° La référence au conseil régional et aux conseils généraux est remplacée par la référence au conseil départemental.
