I. – The cinema licence is accompanied by one of the following classification measures:
1° Authorisation of screening for all audiences ;
2° Prohibition on showing to minors under twelve years of age;
3° Prohibition on showing to children under the age of sixteen;
4° Prohibition on performances for minors under eighteen years of age;
5° Prohibition on performance to minors aged eighteen with the work or document included on the list provided for in article L. 311-2.
II. – The classification measure, accompanied where applicable by the warning provided for in Article R. 211-13, is proportionate to the requirements of the protection of children and young people, with regard to the sensitivity and development of personality specific to each age, and respect for human dignity.
When the work or document contains scenes of sex or extreme violence which are likely, in particular by their accumulation, to seriously disturb the sensibilities of minors, to present violence in a favourable light or to trivialise it, the exploitation licence may only be accompanied by one of the measures provided for in 4° and 5° of I.
In the case provided for in the previous paragraph, the aesthetic bias or the narrative process on which the work or document is based may justify the marketing licence being accompanied only by the measure provided for in 4° of I.
