Article R2151-3 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

By way of derogation from article R. 25-1 of the Electoral Code, when the municipal councillors have been elected under the conditions laid down in articles L. 252 to L. 255-1 or the fourth paragraph of article L. 261 of this code and one or more deputy mayors are elected, the population figure to be used is the authenticated municipal population figure taken into account at the time of the last full renewal of the municipal council.

Article R2151-3

Par dérogation à l’article R. 25-1 du code électoral, lorsque les conseillers municipaux ont été élus dans les conditions fixées aux articles L. 252 à L. 255-1 ou au quatrième alinéa de l’article L. 261 de ce code et qu’il est procédé à l’élection d’un ou plusieurs adjoints au maire, le chiffre de la population à retenir est le chiffre de la population municipale authentifié pris en compte lors du dernier renouvellement intégral du conseil municipal.
