Article R2314-19 of the French Labour Code

For the application of article L. 2314-29, each list is allocated as many seats as the number of votes received by it contains times the electoral quotient.

The electoral quotient is equal to the total number of votes validly cast by the electors of the college, divided by the number of seats to be filled.

Pour l’application de l’article L. 2314-29, chaque liste se voit attribuer autant de sièges que le nombre de voix recueilli par elle contient de fois le quotient électoral.


Le quotient électoral est égal au nombre total des suffrages valablement exprimés par les électeurs du collège, divisé par le nombre de sièges à pourvoir.
