The Board may take a decision to close the case if it finds that the violation of which the person concerned is accused has not been established.
This decision is notified by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt or by letter delivered against receipt, to the person concerned, to the sports federation and professional league concerned as well as, by any means, to the World Anti-Doping Agency and the international federation concerned and, where applicable, to the foreign national anti-doping organisation concerned as well as to the International Olympic Committee or the International Paralympic Committee when the decision may have an effect in relation to the Olympic or Paralympic Games, in particular by affecting the possibility of participating in them. Where applicable, the person(s) with parental authority or the person’s legal representative shall be informed in the same way.
If the decision to close the case is taken after the statement of objections has been sent to the chairman of the Enforcement Committee, the case is no longer referred to the Enforcement Committee. In this case, the chairman of the Enforcement Committee is also notified of the decision.
