Article R2391-17 of the French Public procurement code

The frequency of payment of the instalments is fixed taking into account the characteristics and duration of the contract. It is set at a maximum of six months.
When the contract holder is a small or medium-sized enterprise or a craftsman within the meaning of Article R. 2351-12, the frequency of advance payments is set at a maximum of three months. This period is reduced to one month for works contracts and, at the request of the contract holder, for supply and service contracts.

Article R2391-17

La périodicité du versement des acomptes est fixée en tenant compte des caractéristiques et de la durée du marché. Elle est fixée au maximum à six mois.
Lorsque le titulaire du marché est une petite ou moyenne entreprise ou un artisan au sens de l’article R. 2351-12, la périodicité du versement des acomptes est fixée au maximum à trois mois. Ce délai est ramené à un mois pour les marchés de travaux et, sur demande du titulaire du marché, pour les marchés de fournitures et de services.
