In the case of a new building project, preliminary studies are the first stage in the project manager’s response to the objectives, needs, constraints and requirements of the programme.
These studies enable the client to decide on the overall design of the project and are intended to:
1° To specify the physical, economic and environmental constraints affecting the project;
2° To present one or more technical, architectural, siting and landscape integration solutions for the works concerned, as well as a comparison of the various elements making up these solutions, together with completion deadlines, and to examine their compatibility with the part of the provisional financial envelope allocated to the works, as selected by the project owner;
3° To verify the feasibility of the operation.
