A prior declaration of the liquidation sale shall be sent by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt or delivered to the mayor of the commune where the sale operations are planned, at least two months before the date scheduled for the start of the sale.
However, this time limit is reduced to five days when the reason given in support is consecutive to an unforeseeable event of such a nature as to interrupt the operation of the establishment.
An order of the minister responsible for trade sets out the list of information relating, in particular, to the identity of the seller, the reason for and duration of the sale and the inventory of the goods sold, as well as the documents that are attached to this declaration.
