An Audit Committee is established within the Council of Sales Houses for the purpose of ensuring the proper implementation of the budget.
The Audit Committee shall consist of three members of the Council elected by the Council. On a proposal from the Chairman, the Board appoints the Chairman of the Audit Committee by a majority of its members.
The Government Commissioner is notified of Audit Committee meetings. At his request, he may attend.
The Audit Committee meets at least once a year, on the proposal of its chairman or the Government Commissioner.
It examines documents relating to the preparation and implementation of the budget and financial accounts. It issues a written opinion on the proposed budget and financial accounts when they are submitted to the Council of auction houses.
It issues opinions on IT projects, the taking of leases on premises and their fitting out.
The Audit Committee issues an annual opinion to the Sales Houses Council on the implementation of the budget.
