Article R322-32 of the French Sports Code

Category 1 PPE-SL is subject to the internal manufacturing control procedure whereby the manufacturer, his authorised representative established within the territory of the European Community or, failing this, any person responsible for placing the equipment on the market ensures and declares, under his responsibility, that the PPE-SL complies with the essential health and safety requirements applicable to it.

For this equipment, the manufacturer, his authorised representative established on the territory of one of the Member States of the European Community or, failing this, any person responsible for placing it on the market must make the following available to the officials responsible for inspection:

1° The “EC” declaration of conformity defined in Annex III-7;

2° The technical documentation referred to in Annex III-8.

Les EPI-SL de catégorie 1 relèvent de la procédure du contrôle interne de la fabrication par laquelle le fabricant, son mandataire établi sur le territoire de la Communauté européenne ou, à défaut, tout responsable de la mise sur le marché s’assure et déclare, sous sa responsabilité, que l’EPI-SL est conforme aux exigences essentielles de santé et de sécurité qui lui sont applicables.


Pour ces équipements, le fabricant, son mandataire établi sur le territoire de l’un des Etats membres de la Communauté européenne ou, à défaut, tout responsable de la mise sur le marché tient à la disposition des agents chargés du contrôle :


1° La déclaration de conformité ” CE ” définie à l’annexe III-7 ;


2° La documentation technique visée à l’annexe III-8.
