Article R322-34 of the French Sports Code

After fulfilling the obligations defined in articles R. 322-32 and R. 322-33, the manufacturer, his authorised representative established on the territory of one of the Member States of the European Community or, failing this, any person responsible for placing the equipment on the market must affix the CE marking, in accordance with the provisions of annex III-6 .

The CE marking must be affixed to the PPE-SL in a visible, legible and indelible form for the foreseeable life of the equipment or, if this is not possible due to the characteristics of the product, on its packaging.

It is forbidden to affix inscriptions on the PPE-LS or its packaging that are likely to cause confusion with the CE marking.

Après avoir rempli les obligations définies aux articles R. 322-32 et R. 322-33, le fabricant, son mandataire établi sur le territoire de l’un des Etats membres de la Communauté européenne ou, à défaut, tout responsable de la mise sur le marché appose le marquage ” CE “, conformément aux dispositions de l’annexe III-6.

Le marquage ” CE ” est apposé sur l’EPI-SL de façon visible, lisible et indélébile pendant la durée prévisible de vie de l’équipement ou, dans le cas d’une impossibilité liée aux caractéristiques du produit, sur son emballage.

Il est interdit d’apposer, sur les EPI-SL ou sur leur emballage des inscriptions susceptibles de créer une confusion avec le marquage ” CE “.
