Article R3222-7 of the French Public Health Code

The medical monitoring committee visits the unit for difficult patients at least once every six months. It sends a report of its visit to the departmental committee for psychiatric care, to the departmental prefect or, in Paris, to the police prefect, and to the competent public prosecutor.

La commission du suivi médical visite l’unité pour malades difficiles au moins une fois par semestre. Elle adresse le compte rendu de sa visite à la commission départementale des soins psychiatriques, au préfet du département ou, à Paris, au préfet de police, ainsi qu’au procureur de la République compétent.
