Article R3224-7 of the French Public Health Code

The priority of the territorial mental health project is to organise the conditions under which people with mental health problems have access to somatic care adapted to their needs.

To this end, it ensures that provision is made for :

1° Access to somatic care for these people by general practitioners, in close coordination with psychiatric and specialised somatic care professionals;

2° In the event of hospitalisation, the organisation of psychiatric establishments to ensure that their patients have access to somatic care, including specialised care;

3° The organisation, by health establishments authorised in medicine, surgery and obstetrics, of specific care for people with mental disorders, including access to the necessary investigations and specialised care, particularly within the framework of regional hospital groupings.

Article R3224-7

Le projet territorial de santé mentale a pour priorité l’organisation des conditions de l’accès des personnes présentant des troubles psychiques à des soins somatiques adaptés à leurs besoins.

A ce titre, il veille à ce que soient prévus :

1° L’accès au suivi somatique de ces personnes par les médecins généralistes, en coordination étroite avec les professionnels de la psychiatrie et du soin somatique spécialisé ;

2° En cas d’hospitalisation, l’organisation des établissements ayant une activité en psychiatrie pour assurer à leurs patients un accès aux soins somatiques, y compris spécialisés ;

3° L’organisation, par les établissements de santé autorisés en médecine, chirurgie et obstétrique, d’un accueil spécifique des personnes présentant des troubles psychiques, incluant l’accès aux investigations et aux soins spécialisés nécessaires, notamment dans le cadre des groupements hospitaliers de territoire.
