Article R3232-7 of the French Public Health Code

The form of presentation in addition to the nutrition declaration recommended in application of Article L. 3232-8 consists of a nutrition label complying with a set of specifications laid down by order of the ministers responsible for health, consumer affairs and agri-foodstuffs, after obtaining the opinion of the Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire de l’alimentation, de l’environnement et du travail. This order complies with the provisions of Article 35 of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2011, as amended, on the provision of food information to consumers.

II.-The commitment of manufacturers and distributors to the voluntary approach of using the recommended additional form of presentation mentioned in I shall apply to all categories of foodstuffs that they place on the market under their own brands, in compliance with the scope of the mandatory nutrition declaration provided for in the aforementioned Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011.

La forme de présentation complémentaire à la déclaration nutritionnelle recommandée en application de l’article L. 3232-8 consiste en une signalétique nutritionnelle conforme à un cahier des charges fixé par arrêté des ministres chargés de la santé, de la consommation et de l’agroalimentaire, après avis de l’Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire de l’alimentation, de l’environnement et du travail. Cet arrêté respecte les dispositions de l’article 35 du règlement (UE) n° 1169/2011 du Parlement européen et du Conseil du 25 octobre 2011 modifié concernant l’information des consommateurs sur les denrées alimentaires.

II.-L’engagement des fabricants et des distributeurs dans la démarche volontaire d’utiliser la forme de présentation complémentaire recommandée mentionnée au I porte sur l’ensemble des catégories de denrées alimentaires qu’ils mettent sur le marché sous leurs propres marques, dans le respect du champ d’application de la déclaration nutritionnelle obligatoire prévue par le règlement (UE) n° 1169/2011 précité.
