Article R3252-6 of the French Labour Code

Unless otherwise provided, notifications and summonses made pursuant to this chapter shall be sent by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt.

Such notifications shall be duly made to the address previously indicated by the creditor(s). In the event of unsigned acknowledgement of receipt being returned to the court registry, the date of notification to the addressee shall be that of presentation and the notification shall be deemed to have been made at the addressee’s domicile or residence.

Sauf disposition contraire, les notifications et convocations faites en application du présent chapitre sont adressées par lettre recommandée avec avis de réception.

Ces notifications sont régulièrement faites à l’adresse préalablement indiquée par le ou les créanciers. En cas de retour au greffe de l’avis de réception non signé, la date de notification à l’égard du destinataire est celle de la présentation et la notification est réputée faite à domicile ou à résidence.
