State financial aid is calculated by applying a unit amount to the quantity of equipment sold, determined in such a way that it does not exceed what is necessary to cover the net costs incurred in placing this equipment on the market at the maximum price set by the State, including a reasonable profit, under the conditions laid down in Article 5 of European Commission Decision 2012/21/EU of 20 December 2011 on the application of Article 106(2) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union to State aid in the form of public service compensation granted to certain undertakings entrusted with the operation of services of general economic interest.
The maximum unit amount of aid is set by order of the ministers responsible for the budget and health.
The aid is paid to the company responsible for placing the product on the market on presentation of a quarterly report and a summary of sales.
