If it has not been possible to draw up a list of coordinating doctors, or if none of the doctors on this list can be appointed, the sentence enforcement judge will appoint as coordinating doctor, on a provisional basis and for a period that may not exceed one year, a doctor who meets the conditions defined in articles R. 3711-3 and R. 3711-8 , after first obtaining his consent and that of the public prosecutor.
In the cases mentioned in articles R. 3711-6 to R. 3711-8, as well as in cases of force majeure, the sentence enforcement judge appoints another coordinating doctor to replace the doctor initially appointed, under the same conditions.
